Summer Is Winding Down

We went to the beach in August for our annual family beach trip.

Addison had so much fun.

Addison was always ready to head to the beach ...

They also had the best pool where we stayed and Addison just loved it!

We had such a wonderful time.

And we cannot wait to go back next year.

Addison also had a wonderful time helping her friend

Mary celebrate her 2nd birthday.

It was an ice cream party and Addison was in heaven ...

she loves ice cream!

We have had such a wonderful summer and are sad that it's coming to an end.

But with fall comes ... UGA football!

She loves cheering on the Bulldogs ...

hopefully she will bring them more luck going forward.

We've been spending a lot of time outside and Addison

is enjoying every moment.

And as you can tell, Addison has become a HUGE fan of Elmo

... or as Addison refers to him Melmo!

We can't wait to see what fun adventures the fall will bring for us.

And the Fun Continues!

We celebrated Addison's 18 month birthday on June 30 ...

I cannot believe how quickly time has gone by.

She had a cupcake in her favorite color

... pink ...

and as you can see, she had a great time eating it.

She was pink for at least a day!

Addison is talking all the time and singing as well.

She loves to sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"

and the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" ... with all of the motions of course.

She is very curious and I'm constantly

amazed at how smart she is and how

quickly she figures things out ...

sometimes she's a little too smart ;-).

We were able to spend a long weekend in

Americus visiting my family.

We went to visit my grandparents (Addison's great-grandparents)

and whilewe were there and Addison had so much fun

playing the pianowith Mimi (my Dad's Mom)

We went to visit Jeremy's family for the 4th of July.

We took Addison to the beach and she had a great time. It was a little windy that day

as you can see ... but she still had a lot of fun.

We took Addison to an indoor play area last weekend and we all had such a great time!

I'm pretty sure we had almost as much fun as Addison did ...

We laughed the whole time we were there and had so much fun just the three of us.

I can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by ... we leave for the beach on Saturday.

We cannot wait to make so many more memories with our sweet little girl.

As you can tell Addison is full of personality these days!

We are having so much fun with her this summer.

Addison is growing and changing so much ... I wish we could

stop time for just a little bit and enjoy these days.

Here she is just being silly. For some reason she wanted to wear

her pants on her head ...

And she loves to push her dolls around in her grocery cart.

She's not extremelygentle with them just yet ...

at least they get a ride, right?

Addison has started saying a couple new words ... ball & bubbles.

She has also started giving kisses ... which just makes our day!!

She also loves to wear my shoes around the house. It's so cute.

She is such a girlie girl! She loves jewelry, shoes & purses.

We also had a wonderful Father's Day!

My parents came up for the weekend and we had a wonderful

time visiting.

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend, Jeremy and I

took our first 'real' trip without Addison.

We went to Las Vegas for a long weekend

and had a wonderful time.

While we were gone Addison spent the long

weekend with her grandparents, both sets actually.

My parents kept her for the first night and Jeremy's parents

came up and kept her the rest of the time.

She had a wonderful time and here are a few pictures from her very exciting weekend.

More Spring Fun & Mother's Day

We've been spending a lot of time outside lately.
In fact if given the choice, I'm pretty sure Addison would stay outside all day.

Addison is also a lot of help when it comes to watering the flowers...

We've been having so much fun with her and enjoying every moment.

Not only does Addison like helping with the outdoor chores,
she also loves helping with the dishes ... or at least taking things out as you put them in.

Addison has a couple more teeth coming in and she has also discovered a new favorite ...

We had a wonderful Mother's Day. My parents came to visit and

Addison had a wonderful time visiting with them.

Like I said, Addison loves being outside, so we spent most of the afternoon in the backyard.

It's been another busy month and the summer is
alreadyfull of activities. We are looking forwardto spending the

Spring Fun & Easter

We're a little behind on the blogging. So now it's time to catch up.

Spring has been very busy. We've had some wonderful weather and Addison has enjoyed spending time outside on the weekends and when we get home in the afternoons.

Jeremy's parents also came to visit for a weekend and Addison had a great time with them.

Addison has been completely off baby food for a little over a month.

Mashed potatoes are a favorite of hers. She is also walking very well now ... or should I say

running! She is into everything and we are having so much fun.

We also celebrated Jeremy's 30th birthday.

We love you! You are a wonderful father, husband and best friend!

We were able to celebrate with some great friends.

We spent Easter in Americus with my family and we had a wonderful time.

The weather was beautiful and were able to spend some time outside enjoying her swing.

We also dyed some eggs ... Addison was such a big helper.

The Easter Bunny was very good to Addison ...

She loved the playing with the plastic eggs.

We were able to spend some time with Addison's great gradparents ... Mimi & Gran.

They always enjoy seeing her and she loves spending time with them.

We had such a wonderful Easter with family.

Even though she loved the Easter eggs, she really like throwing them more
than actually putting them in the basket.
I think she thought they were balls.

And as you can see the camera case seemed to fit into the basket just as well as the Easter eggs.

Addison was also able to spend Easter with her other great grandmother.

She had so much fun hunting eggs with Grandmama.

Spring has been wonderful so far. We've had great weather and we've had the chance to spend

some wonderful time with our family and friends. Addison is changing so much every day.

She is always on the go and constantly talking.

She is such a joy and we are having so much fun with her.

What a wonderful weekend! Snow and Valentine's Day.

We had so much fun this weekend.

Addison had so much fun in the snow.

We also had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Church and lunch and then an afternoon full of play time

Addison is also getting very brave walking. Over the weekend, she began

taking a few more steps every time she decided to walk. Her walker car is

her new favorite toy. She loves walking around the house.

She also loves to ride it ... but there are times when she does not want to

wait on us to help her get on it.

Needless to say she has not quite mastered it yet.

This look says, please stop taking pictures Mom and push me around.

Addison also has four new teeth coming in up top.

When she's not pushing her car around or riding her car,

she's taking me and Jeremy for tours of the house.

Soon she's going to realize she really doesn't need to hold on to that one

finger to walk around. For now we will just enjoy that still 'needs' us for a

little help.She so independent. Once she starts walking, I know she will not

want to be held or helped at all.

1st Birthday Party

We had Addison's 1st Birthday Party in Americus so that our family could be there.

We were very blessed to have my grandparents, my parents, Jeremy's parents,

Aunt Judy and our friends Jessica, Stuart & Knox and Ashley.

We had such a wonderful time.

Addison had so much fun with Knox.

Their birthdays are only 3 weeks apart and were so cute together!

Addison was a little hesitant about the cake ... I'm beginning to think she doesn't

really like her hands being dirty. A true girly girl? :-).

Addison's birthday with some of our friends and family.

                                  At 7:55pm one year ago, our little girl came into our world.
                                    She is a beautiful blessing. Throughout the day, I've been remembering
                                         what was happening up until the minute she was born. I can't believe she is
                                           one year old. We went to the Atlanta Children's museum to celebrate and to
                                       Zaxby's for lunch ... she's a big fan of the chicken fingers and fries. We had a
           wonderful day with Addison. It was just the three of us ... just like the moment
                                          she was born. My parents were at the hospital when she was born,
                                           but it was just me and Jeremy in the room when we met Addison for the first
                                time. Here are some of the highlights from our wonderful day.

                                       Since we'll be having Addison's actual party in a couple of weeks ... we had a small
                                   celebration for Addison just the three of us. Here are the gifts she opened today
                                     (one from my parents and one from us). And it isn't a birthday without some
cake (or cupcake).

And this is how our day began ...

December Fun

Addison has once again had a very busy month. She has been eating more and more

'regular' food and seems to like anything we give her. So hopefully that will continue.

She has also begun to let go and stand on her own for very short periods. I know she will be walking soon ... where did our little girl go?

We had a Christmas party this month and our friend Jenny brought her reindeer ears ... which Addison loved!

As all of you know it has been quite cold up here lately ... so here Addison is all bundled up and ready for school. She still loves the Lighthouse Academy and is so happy. She has begun telling us bye as soon as we sit her down ... even before we're actually leaving.

Addison also went to visit Santa and she didn't seem to mind him. Picture to come ...

Addison went to Jackson's 1st Birthday party and had a great time. She managed to get a hold of Greg's money clip and is ready to go shopping ...

We'll definitely have to take her back to Southern Prep. She had so much fun.

And then it was Christmas time .....

We were lucky to spend Christmas with my family ... I haven't been home for Christmas in a couple of years. Addison and I spent a few extra days visiting.

Addison also had her first hair cut (really just a trim) while we were in Americus. Her bangs were getting out of control, so we had them trimmed. It was a little sad for me :-).

We had a wonderful visit and had a great time with our family.

11 Months Old

It's been a very busy month for Miss Addison. She's getting so big and

is so busy!! And crawling every where.

She finally started crawling on her knees ... here she is when she realized she could do it.

Elizabeth you were right ... just took being on a differnt surface for her to realize she could do it.

I also gave her a sucker the other day. She seemed to like it.

Of course she had to touch it with her other hand as well. It was too funny.

We went to Jeremy's parent's house for Thanksgiving.

We had beautiful weather and Addison had a great time.

Jeremy bought Addison this giraffe before she was born and she loves it.

She gets so excited when she sees it.

While we were in St. Simons visiting, we were able to meet up with one of

my friends from college, Allison, and her little boy Rhett.

We had a great time and I'm so glad we were able to meet for lunch.

Addison was able to wear her first Christmas dress the Sunday after

Thanksgiving and we were able to get some really cute pictures of her.

We also put up our Christmas tree when we got home and Addison loves it.

She gets the biggest smile on her face everytime we turn it on.

I knew she would love it ... she loves bright shiny things.

This is when she saw the tree for the first time.

Just staring at the lights ...

She did not like touching the tree the first couple of days, but now she is

getting braver and really likes the shiny (non-breakable) ornaments that are on the bottom of the tree.

I can't believe Christmas is almost here and Addison will turn one in less than a month.

Where has this first year gone? It has been an amazing year!!

Fall Fun!

Addison has had a very busy Fall so far. We went to the pumpkin patch and she had a blast. She found some very cute mini pumpkins that were perfect for her and she loved the hay ride.

It definitely would not have been nearly as fun if our friends Mary and Jackson had not come with us.

Of course we couldn't get them to all look at the same time.

It's amazing how much her expressions are so similar to Jeremy's.

Addison was so excited on the way home. She had so much fun on our outing.

Addison also had a great first Halloween. We went trick or treating with my best friend Julie's two little girls. Julie and I have been friends since we were seven so it was a lot of fun to take our little girls trick or treating.

Peyton (the flower) is 16 months, Addison is 10 months and Blayne is almost 3. They had so much fun and were so cute!!

And of course Addison was a ballerina. She loved her outfit and it was so cute!

Addison went to visit her great grandparents, Mimi and Gran. She loves to spend time with them. And of course my parents always loves spending time with her.

Addison now has her second tooth coming in and her favorite thing to do is to cruise around the sofa. We are having so much fun with her. I can't believe she's ten months now. This first year is going by so fast.

9 1/2 months!

Addison is 9 1/2 months now! I can't believe it. She had her 9 months shots a little over a week ago and did great. Here she is at 9 months. She has quite the personality!

She is such a happy baby!! She started saying ma-ma a few weeks ago ... of course she has not connected it to me just yet. Jeremy's waiting on da-da. We've started army crawling a little bit as of this past week. So I'm sure she'll be crawling any day now. One of her new favorite things it pulling herself up so that she can stand. And we love clapping our hands now. She thinks it is the greatest thing ever to start clapping so that we'll say 'yay!'. We are having so much fun with her.

My friend Kate has a friend in Birmingham (Lindsey) that does monogramming and she made Addison this adorable pumpkin shirt. Lindsey will definitely be hearing from me a lot ... she does such great work!!

Addison is ready for Halloween ... she's going to be a ballerina. And we'll be going to the pumkin patch in a couple of weeks! So many first ... I can't believe how quickly she is growing up!

KD Legacy

Addison attended her first KD Bid Day this past weekend. They had t-shirts made for the legacies ... which are adorable. Of course it's a little big for her, but she'll grow into it. My good friend Ashley's little sister pledged KD, so we went to congratulate her. Addison had a great time visiting with everyone and taking pictures.

We have also officially retired the infant tub! I can't believe she's taking big girl bathes now. But she he loves it! She's also becoming very interested in holding the spoon herself and putting it in her mouth. Granted, not much food actually ends up in her mouth when she does it :-).

Since I did miss a few months - We moved Addison from The Sunshine House to the Light House Academy at East Cobb United Methodist Church almost 3 months ago. They taught her to hold her own bottle after a couple of weeks, which amazes me. We love the new daycare. She is so happy and learning so much every day.
She's also been eating baby food for a couple of months now and she loves her baby food.

It hit me last night, when I was putting her to bed, how big she's getting. I can't believe how quickly the last 8 1/2 months have gone by. As the holidays quickly approach, it reminds me that our little girl will soon turn 1.

Catching Up Again ....

Ok, so I have not done a good job of keeping up with this blog ... obviously. The last time I posted Addison was 8 weeks old ... well she's a little over 8 months old now. So a lot has happened in the last 6 months. I will post pictures of each month.
We went to the beach in August and she loved the water. She wasn't quite sure about the waves when she was standing on the beach. She did great though! Of course she took a nap everytime we were at the beach. I guess the waves and the breeze were very relaxing to her.
She isn't crawling yet, but she's beginning to make the motions so I know she will be scooting around any day now. She is very curious and wants to see everything that's going on. She's also begun to pull up on her crib ... if I'm in her room working and she wants to see what I'm doing she'll peek over the top of the crib. She has become quite fond of JJ (our Jack Russell). She thinks he is so funny ... she will just start laughing at him for no reason at all. It is so cute. We have been blessed with such a sweet baby girl. She is so content and laid back. We are enjoying every minute with her.
We went to the Zoo for Labor Day. I think she's still a little young for that type of activity. She loved seeing all of the people and she did get excited about some of the animals that were close to us. But otherwise, there were too many other distractions for her to focus on the animals.
She also watched her first UGA football game on Saturday. She was all dressed up in ther UGA attire. It was so cute.
I will try to do better from now on and keep the blog up to date!

Getting Up to Date

I'm very new to blogging, so we'll see how this goes.

Addison is 8 weeks old now. She's getting so big. I can't believe how quickly time is going by. I have to go back to work in 3 weeks ... yuck ... I wish I could stay home. I never thought I would want to be a stay at home mom, but now I wish I could.

Addison was born on December 30, 2008 and weighed 5lbs 11oz. The last time we went to the doctor (about a month ago) she weighed 7.5 lbs. We go to the doctor for her 2 month appointment next week. So we will see how much she has gained. She will have to get her first round of shots and I'm dreading it. I'm sure it will be harder on me than it will be on her.

She is beginning to smile a lot more. I love just watching her and seeing her smile.

Today Addison experienced her first Snow Day! It was very exciting, but very cold and I don't think she particularly liked the cold snow on her face.
